Carole and grand daughters
Carole Corder has been an
avid quilter for many years. Only recently, though, has she begun to sell her
original designs. Her patterns are available at retail outlets across the
country and have been well received throughout the quilting community.
In addition to selling her
designs, Carole teaches classes throughout the US, sharing her skills of
needle-turned appliqué and hand quilting. She has many dear friends who
have been introduced to the craft of quilting, or have improved their skills
with her help.
She is also a well-recognized speaker and shares her fascinating stories and experiences with quilting audiences through presentations that showcase her lifetime of quilting and needlework.
Carole attributes her love
of quilting to the fact that she is a fourth generation quilter. Her great grandmother taught her to crochet,
while her grandmother and mother taught her quilting. Currently, Carole and her husband live on a beautiful lake in
the Northeast Mountains of Washington in a scenic environment that lends itself
to her creative character. She is a member of the Piecemakers Guild in
Colville, Washington, Washington State Quilters, AQS, and IQA.
Carole is also a mother of five, a grandmother of nine, and a friend to many.
